...AT A BAR CALLED O'MALLEYS..... UPDATES
DECEMBER 4, 2005 -
and then you say "no more." or someone does. and then you finally leave. and there you are at your dining room table in your brand new place. and it's a nice place. you did better than you thought, to be quite honest about it. you buy matching plates and you rip off silver wear from the restuarant. you frequent the 99 cent store, and you own more candles then you've ever had in your pocession at once.
your diet falters into sunny d and frozen pizzas. you buy gifts for your cat.
you pace frantacially about... deciding, with all of these endless possibilities of freedom; what exactly will you do now?

rent is paid thru january 4. each time i do these things, it feels utterly amazing. i had gotten my self into a place where i totally believed i could not exist on my own. but here i am, paying rent, and doing it.
admittingly, my life seems like a dream right now. not sure if it's a great dream or a bad dream... more like, just a dream. all that time spent knowing i should be doing what i am doing right now, but not actually doing it. holding onto whatever it was that i was holding onto... makes each small thing i do now, like turning on a light, and i too, like everyone else, has electricity. it's amazing. isn't that strange? doesn't that sound weird? i sort of sometimes displace myself, and say it's actually my cat's apartment. somehow it makes more sense that way... as if little man moved out, and i just went with him.
but each day, my new life grows on me. each day i'm proud of myself for some new thing. and each day i enjoy the people i share this city, and state, country and world with a little more.
there's just so many people i miss.

having lunch out on the balcony, reflecting on another eventfull weekend.
it started saturday as i got out of work, my boss told me i looked stress, and why don't i make some new years plans. i was like, are you serious? and she goes, "yeah, take a week. have fun!"
i said okay, and decided i was going to go to NYC for new years.
a perfect way to kick off the new year, which, with school begining on the 17th, and a good number of very cool new people in my life - promises to be a good one.
after work, i met up with shelly and we set out to get pissed off kiltlifter down on 4th avenue @ O'mally's bar and grill in celebration of the 4th Ave Street Fair that was going on.
we did a very good job at achieving our goals, and a good time was definetly had.
later i met up with ron and hollie and we furthered the proceedings at the Surley Wench pub, and Plush.
...then came sunday. sunday i was dreading because ron had thought it a good idea that i should meet his mother.
fantastic. a german lady now living in tucson who is currently going thru divorce, meeting her gay son's new "boyfriend."
couldn't wait... *sarcastic grin*
so... we drive up to oro valley, and i meet her. my anxiety soon seemed silly, as she was a very cool lady and a lot of fun...
we took off for the tucon convention centre where we were going to see a chistmas show by the Transibierian Orchestra... a very modern electric guitar and violin driven rock show... complete with pyro-technics and an amazing light show.
i was shocked, and had an awesome time at the show. if yall get the chance, check em out.
after, we went out for pizza and more drinks, mom in tow. we all laughed and had much fun.
sunday night was dinner plans, over at jessie and her boyfriends. he's a film student at UA, and they were previewing some films they were making. she cooked a yummy vegitarian lazagna, and a great spinach dip. we had brought desert... one of the huge slices of chocolate cake from claim jumpers, that 4 people can easily share (if not 5... or 6 even...)
a mellow fun night, except for jessie's boyfriend's friend who was pissed out of his mind, and stammering around swearing at us the joys of led zepplin, and that we just didn't understand. it was kinda funny.
well, i'm off to do laundry and other mundane things.
all, be well... and enjoy your holidays and please be safe!
