INSOMNIATIC UPDATE

2:23am and i am endulging in my apparent fondness for late nights and a nocturnal state of being. listening to alanis morissette and trying to channel my creative self.

been dogsitting lucy for the last week. i feel sad that it's almost over. she is wonderful. i think jake is getting a bit jealous though, so guess it's probably for the best.

hannah just took off for california for the 4th of july weekend. she's going to some island off the coast. very cool stuff... she needs it, and i hope she has the best time.

dinner party at seth's tonight. he cooked yummy yummy food and kevin and curtis came too. it was cool.

i'm out of cigarettes and i wish i had the guts to quit right now.

NEW IPOD ARRIVED! YAY!

my new ipod nano 3rd arrived today. i woke up at 9am and there was a knock at my door about 9:10. nice one, fed ex! i threw on a tshirt and shorts and ran tripping over cats and dogs on my way - but i made it. signed my name and my new red ipod nano 3rd is here with me. it is beautiful. it really is a good looking little device it's still synchronizing so i haven't actually watched a video on it, or heard any music come from it... but soon, babies... soon!


thank god, coz being trapped into only being able to listen to the radio on your way to work is horrible. no wonder road rage is rampant.

.....good things, and bad things latley. time and effort will conclude for both of these.

i step of misjudgement can honestly turn your whole world around. to think as little as possible seems to be key right now for just getting through the week.

one good thing is that lucy is staying with me for the week. she's so cute. i'll get a picture of her and of the new nano up here soon...

as for now... i'm almost done synching... so i gotta go!

cannot sleep enough latley. don't know what that's about. things going less than perfect i guess? who knows... perhaps i even have west nile. ha.

the biggest greatest thing right now, is my nano 3G red has been shipped. it should be here soon.

PRODUCT (RED)

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! right, so last weekend i went swimming and dropped my nano 2nd generation into the pool. i stared at for a second as it was underwater and it was ani difranco's re-recording of "both hands" she did for "canon" that was playing... it looked funny.

something was wrong. then it hit me... MY IPOD WAS DROWNING!!!!!!!!!!!

i yanked it up from the bottom of the pool, and watched it die in my hand. i cried a little bit.

i thought maybe after a while it would turn back on... but no such luck.

it has become more than clear to me over the last week, that i am incapable of continuing on in my life without my ipod. it is my car stereo. it is my first and true undying love.

i had to replace it. i have been eye-balling the Product (red) 3rd Generation actually, for like 3 or 4 months. Firstly it's red... and that's my favorite color. 2ndly... the Product (red) line goes directly to Africa towards the fight against AIDS. Score! Thirdly, it plays video!

....and it's on it's way. a bright spot in the summer.

*Screams!* okay... it's time to pick actual dates for coming home. sometime after the 4th is all i know.

it's hard to get up the gumption to get on a plane again, but i think it's going to be very good for me. shit needs to get shaken up a bit, me thinks.

hung out with mo last night at the apartment that i was going to move in with him. we worked on it a bit, i helped him move some stuff and peal some wall paper. it was good. i think it was healing for us both. we've acomplished a friendship over the last year. feels good.

moving in there though? eh... i just hope it works out for him.

whoa! what a day! ok... ok... forget cyndi lauper! alanis' new album "flavors of entanglement" just broke today, and it's - i am telling you now, as a huge alanis fan... the BEST ALBUM OF HER CAREER. "straightjacket" and "vulnerable man" are my 2 current faves... she hit it out of the park!

i was almost at a point where she kinda had lost a bit of spark with me. "underneath" is a great song... but has nothing on the rest of this album! go alanis!

so... cyndi lauper's new album is hot. it's a full on dance album, "bring ya to the brink." currently spinning all over the place in my life is the track, "same ol situation." so fun!

but also... while on a downloading spree for her, i discovered this song called "sisters of avalon." i did not know it, and downloaded it coz of the name. the one i dig features ani difranco and is off of the album, "the body acoustic." check it out!

other than that... filling out more paper for school to take in tomorrow. fun fun.

184 - 210 - whatever....

seems that i've broken my plateau! a 2nd milestone of finally getting under 180 is just around the corner and that is a good thing!

other than that. i'm enjoying a couple days off. getting my place cleaned up. need to get the car washed and cleaned up.

looking forward to a san diego trip soon, and going home in july!
